Hotel and Holiday Village Vila Vita Pannonia in Austria

Located one hour from Vienna, the hotel and holiday village Vila Vita Pannonia is situated near the Lake Neusiedl and close to the Hungarian border. (It’s the first time for me to travel to this area in Austria.)

On an area of 200 ha, 127 thatched bungalows and 40 hotel rooms are spread across the area here in Burgenland.

After checking in Elena brings us with her car to our bungalows. I am surprised and more than happy because I have a bungalow all by myself.

Vinotherapy and special treatments

After the long train ride to Vienna (guests are picked up from the train station in  Wallern if necessary) and then a one hour drive to the Vila Vita Pannonia we need to relax.

Christa Tschida, founder of the vinotherapy welcomes us and every one of us gets a special treatment in the spa area.

I am lucky to be able to enjoy an emperor bath in a golden bathtub. The hot water is mixed with 5 liters of wine. My skin feels nourished and cleaned.

After 10 minutes in the wine bath I pour a glass of essential oils into the water. It smells great and I also enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, water and tea.

Tip! Emperor bath at home: Pour two bottles of white wine (women) or two bottles of red wine (men) into the water and get soft skin.

After the bath I relax in subdued lighting and with soft music like a true empress. 🙂

Sports & activities at the hotel

During our stay we had lots of possibilities to be active and we tried only a few of the many activities here at the Vila Vita Pannonia.

Alpharun

Archery

While Juergen from Lifetravellerz and Elena from Creativelena learned about and tried the Alpharun, Melanie from Lifetravellerz, Christine from the Vila Vita Pannonia and I tried to shoot like a pro. 🙂 It was fun but the same time exhausting.

Riding the bike

Every guest at the Vila Vita Pannonia can use a bike during the stay here at the hotel / holiday village.

Herbs and a picnic

Resi Kroiss showed us wild herbs in the area. We then made our own herb vinegar. In the garden between apple and pear trees we had a picnic where we enjoyed our herbs and food from the region.

Solar Fun Cars and E-cars

Sustainability is an important part here in Pamhagen at the Vila Vita Pannonia. With the solar fun cars or an electric golf cart you can also explore the area like we did with our driver Elena.

Overview of the Vila Vita Pannonia hotel

The best view over the whole are is definitely from the Panoramalounge. While having a drink you can watch the stork couple that lives in their nest on top of the main house.

The Panorama Lounge is situated on top of the Energiezentrum, which supplies the hotel and part of the holiday village with the majority of the required energy (wood chip system).

Food and wine

Next to the restaurant in the main house there are multiple ways to have lunch or dinner. At the bistro we had lunch at the pool and there is also the Csarda.

As I prefer to eat vegan (which is not always easy while traveling) it was no problem here at the Vila Vita Pannonia and I had more than once the pleasure to eat a vegan 4 course menu. The waiters and the chef / cooks are really VERY courteous and helpful, even tough vegan dishes aren’t listed on each menu in the Vila Vita Pannonia.

The wine list is impressive too. No wonder as the Burgenland is the wine region of Austria.

I enjoyed my stay here a lot and didn’t feel a second bored here because there is so much to see and do at the huge area alone. And if you want to see and do more then there are many places close by to explore.
