Testing Austria\u00b4s most famous dessert at the Kaiserhaus<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>As an Austrian you should like <strong>Kaiserschmarren<\/strong>, if not love it. The dessert is one of the most famous desserts in the alpine region. But to be honest. I didn\u00b4t like Kaiserschmarren that much. Now I know, why. Because most of the places I tried it, it tasted like rubber. In Baden it was the first time I really enjoyed this dessert. It was tasty and fluffy like a sweet cloud.\u00a0<strong>Herwig Gasser<\/strong>\u00a0showed us at the Kaiserhaus Baden (Hauptplatz 17, 2500 Baden) during his\u00a0<strong>Kaiserschmarren-Show<\/strong>\u00a0how the dessert is made. Picnic among thousands of roses<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>You can enjoy a picnic among thousands of roses and in the shade close to the oldest tree in the city. At the Rosarium in the <strong>Doblhoffpark<\/strong> we had a <strong>&#8220;picnic to go&#8221;<\/strong>. The picnic basket is filled with local specialties like cheese, bread, a cake and local juices. Wine and Dine at Ceidl<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The <strong>Weingut Ceidl<\/strong> is a so called <strong>Heuriger<\/strong>. This is a special form of a restaurant you find in the eastern part of Austria. This means only their own produced wine and food will find its way onto your plate. It\u00b4s a delicious way to enjoy home made food in a casual location.<\/p>\n<p>Before we headed to the event &#8220;Baden in Wei\u00df&#8221; where the whole city celebrates in white, we enjoyed our vegetarian dishes in the garden. This was knew for us too. The 4 course menu was for fish and meat lovers which bothered us a lot.
