war unser erster Safari-Park in Tansania, und genau das hat den Besuch f\u00fcr uns besonders gemacht. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wir sind am Kilimanjaro Airport gelandet, haben in Moshi \u00fcbernachtet und waren am n\u00e4chsten Tag in Materuni beim Wasserfall und beim Kaffeer\u00f6sten, bevor wir weiter zum Arusha Nationalpark gefahren sind. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00dcbernachtet haben wir zwei N\u00e4chte in der Kiboko Lodge direkt am Rand des Parks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Davor waren wir bereits sechs N\u00e4chte auf Mafia Island, weil wir unbedingt die Walhaie sehen und tauchen wollten. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Der Arusha Nationalpark war f\u00fcr uns deshalb ein spannender Einstieg in die eigentliche Safari-Zeit unserer Reise, bevor es sp\u00e4ter weiter nach Tarangire, in die Serengeti und zum Ngorongoro-Krater ging.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unser Fahrer, der uns die ganze Reise begleitet hat und auch unser Safari-Guide war, hat uns zum Treffpunkt im Park gebracht. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dort haben wir uns Ranger Nota und einem Auszubildenden angeschlossen und sind f\u00fcr rund zwei Stunden zu Fu\u00df durch den Park gewandert.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_26109\" 400;\">Eine Walking Safari wollte ich schon lange machen, und im Arusha Nationalpark ist das m\u00f6glich, weil es hier keine Raubtiere wie L\u00f6wen, Geparden oder Leoparden gibt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wir haben zuerst einen Fluss \u00fcberquert, der vom Mount Meru kommt, Afrikas zweith\u00f6chstem Berg. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kurz danach haben wir eine Herde Wasserb\u00fcffel im Gras liegen sehen, direkt neben einer Familie Warzenschweine. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weiter im Gel\u00e4nde sind wir mehreren Giraffen sehr nahegekommen, was zu Fu\u00df ein ganz anderes Gef\u00fchl war als aus dem Fahrzeug.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ranger Nota hat uns unterwegs immer wieder spannende Details zu Fauna und Flora erz\u00e4hlt: \u00fcber behaarte, weiche Bl\u00e4tter, die fr\u00fcher als Toilettenpapier genutzt wurden, \u00fcber lange Dornen, die als Zahnstocher dienten, und \u00fcber die Henna-Pflanze, mit der sich Frauen die Fingern\u00e4gel gef\u00e4rbt haben. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am Turusia-Wasserfall, der 28 Meter hoch ist, haben wir eine Pause gemacht, und auf dem R\u00fcckweg sind wir noch an einer Gruppe Paviane vorbeigekommen.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure Nationalpark<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nach der Walking Safari waren wir bereits mitten im Park und haben direkt bei der Einfahrt schon einige Tiere gesehen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">F\u00fcr den restlichen Tag sind wir mit dem Fahrzeug weiter durch den Park gefahren und haben an einem erh\u00f6hten Picknickplatz mit Blick auf einen der Seen unsere Lunchbox gegessen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insgesamt haben wir Giraffen, Adler, Mongoose (Mangusten), Flamingos, Warzenschweine, Wasserbock und Wasserb\u00fcffel gesehen. F\u00fcr uns war November aber der ideale Reisemonat, weil die Walhaie vor Mafia Island nur zwischen November und M\u00e4rz zu sehen sind. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">W\u00e4hrend unserer gesamten Reise hat es kaum geregnet, nur kurz im Arusha Nationalpark und ein einziges Mal ganz kurz in der Serengeti.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" 400;\">Der Arusha Nationalpark eignet sich besonders f\u00fcr alle, die einmal eine Walking Safari erleben m\u00f6chten, weil das hier aufgrund der fehlenden Raubtiere gut m\u00f6glich ist. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Er passt auch gut als Einstieg in eine Tansania-Rundreise, gerade wenn man wie wir direkt von einem Insel- oder Tauchurlaub kommt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Auch f\u00fcr Reisende, die die gr\u00fcne, waldreiche Seite Tansanias sehen m\u00f6chten statt nur die offene Savanne, ist der Park eine
