From our room, we had a view of the Belfry. <strong>history of the Burgundians<\/strong> and <strong>collections from the 17th to 19th centuries<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&#8217;s located in the 15th-century city palace of the Lords of Gruuthuse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During our guided city tour, we learned that there&#8217;s a beautiful view of the church Although the Beguines didn&#8217;t take monastic vows, they lived under the watchful eye of the sisters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make themselves useful, they helped with nursing, textile processing, or education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, some Benedictine nuns and single women still live here.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We were able to visit one of the small, private inner courtyards within the Beguinage. There&#8217;s also a beautiful viewpoint here.
