I travelled three times by plane and took a cheap flight from my closest airport which is located in Southern Germany. I don\u00b4t even want to mention the name of the airline because so many are angry and frustrated these days about it. I did not have a bad experience so far and I didn\u00b4t watch all the news about this airline so maybe I am not up to date.<\/p>\n<p>When I flew to Ireland the flights were always in time and when you book a cheap flight you know before it can\u00b4t and won\u00b4t be like a business or first class ticket.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Getting_Around_Ireland\"><\/span>Getting Around Ireland<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Traveling around Ireland and Northern Ireland means you should have a car. I always book it in advance and if you take the smallest and cheapest car you definitely save money. A small car is perfect for two persons getting around. By sharing the costs it\u00b4s cheap comparing it to other transportation plus you save time by not waiting for the next train or bus to arrive.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1804 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/DSC_0675-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"klein aber oho\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Save_Time\"><\/span>Save Time<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The first time I was in Ireland I drove with a friend and we were looking for a room when we got to the place. Bad idea!<\/p>\n<p>You loose so much time by looking for a place to stay plus I am \u201eLittle Miss Picky\u201c. I want a nice and clean room not any room and so I was totally grossed out when we had to spend our night in a hostel in Wicklow.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1836\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1836\" style=\"width: 844px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1836\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_1581-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Wicklow Mountains\" width=\"854\" height=\"1281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_1581-682x1024.jpg 682w, https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_1581-100x150.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_1581-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 854px) 100vw, 854px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1836\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wicklow Mountains<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It was my first time ever and I guess my last time ever (unless you can convince me there are nice hostels out there) I sleeped in a hostel. We couldn\u00b4t find another place for the night and were too tired to drive to another town.<\/p>\n<p>The carpets were extremely gross and I didn\u00b4t even want to walk with my socks on it plus I felt like I was in prison with those old bunk beds.<\/p>\n<p>The next morning we were asked if we wanted breakfast we decided: No way!<\/p>\n<p>For the same amount of money a couple days later we found a B&amp;B in Killarney. It was in walking distance to the center and absolutely lovely and clean.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Stay_In_B_B%C2%B4s\"><\/span>Stay In B&amp;B\u00b4s<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The easiest way to sleep comfortable, on a budget and get a delicious breakfast is by staying in a Bed and Breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>The families who own the B&amp;B\u00b4s are friendly and in the morning you are greeted with a warm \u201eGood Morning!\u201c and a menu card for breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>You get a touch of the real Irish life vs a sterile hotel room.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bring_Your_Cigarettes\"><\/span>Bring Your Cigarettes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are a smoker you can save a lot of money by bringing as much cigarettes with you as possible. The prices for cigarettes are unbelievable (Gladly I am a non-smoker).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Drink_And_Dine_Early_Early_Bird_Special\"><\/span>Drink And Dine Early = Early Bird Special<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The later the evening the more expensive meals and drinks \u2013 especially alcoholic beverages \u2013 become in pubs, bars and restaurants. If you want to drink start as early as possible. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1833 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/DSC_0803-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"famous pubs in Ireland\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/DSC_0803-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/DSC_0803-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/DSC_0803-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Free_Sightseeing\"><\/span>Free Sightseeing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Most of the sights you have to pay for but that\u00b4s okay because they are well kept.<\/p>\n<p>One awesome area to see with no fee ist the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityseacountry.com\/en\/green-greener-ireland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ring of Kerry<\/a>. If you want to enjoy the scenery you don\u00b4t need money.<\/p>\n<p>There are some places you have to pay for if you want to see them but it\u00b4s not necessary to go there.<\/p>\n<p>Another possibility for saving money in advance is by ordering tickets for the sights you want to see.
